Run, run as fast as you can...

December was all about the Gingerbread Man in 2B! Well, not just the Gingerbread Man. We read about the Snow Dude, Tortilla Man, Gingerbread Girl and many other characters! Students compared and contrasted stories and wrote about their favorite story. We also wrote our own stories that followed the pattern of the Gingerbread man. We had characters like the Gingerbread Cat, Gingerbread Twins and many others. We topped it off by decorating Gingerbread cookies like our favorite character!

Jefferson County Park Fieldtrip

Now You See Them, Now You Don't

If you were a rabbit, could you find the fox? Students crept closer and closer to the rabbit, me, and hid in the brush trying to stay undetected. We had lots of fun!

The Skeleton Parade

2B had a parade on Halloween! The Skeleton Parade! We paraded around the school chanting, "the skeleton parade" and stopped into different classrooms to read our poem! We had a lot of fun surprising teachers and students!

The Inspirational Archer

Washington Elementary had a visit from Matt Stutzman! He recently participated in the 2012 Paralympics this summer in London, England and won a silver medal! Students were treated to an amazing assembly and were inspired by Mr. Stutzman! Not only did he demonstrate his archery skills, but how he accomplishes everyday skills without the use of hands.  His message was that anything is possible with hard work!
